But first, a pep

Think About Last Semester.

What is something that went well for you?

What is something that could have gone better?

Your purpose and
struggles can lead
you to your ONE
WORD.
Think About Last Semester.

If you could describe last semester in one word,

what word would you choose? Unbalanced.

WHY?
During the last 6 months, I had become disturbed as school had come. I had stress. I had school, grades, and assignments
haunting me every day. Overthinking was my 'hobby'. I had let school influence my behavior and attention... causing my
mental state and outside life to become chaos.

Thinking Ahead.

What usually happens when we make

🎉 New Year’s Resolutions ?🎉

They don’t last. We forget about them.

We feel bad about not reaching unrealistic goals.

Thinking Ahead.

Instead of creating a list of typical, self-defeating resolutions

which usually are limiting in some way
(Stop Procrastinating, No More Dessert, Quit Being a Slob)...

What if we choose just one word to inspire us and guide us

for the year and invest our energy into that word?

Personally, the meaning

Stability
of "Stability" is... being
resistant to change and
not prone to wild
fluctuations in the
mind; the strength to
stand or endure
mentality.

I had chosen the word "Stability" because last semester, or

last year, I had delt with stress every day. School had taken
over my 'happiness'. I had delt with a mixture of emotions. I
was no longer socially active. My life outside of school was
no longer thought about. All night, I'd overthink about
assignments and my grades. I had noticed this was
unhealthy for my mental state, but I didn't bother to do
better about the situation. Academically, I was doing great,
but I wanted more.

I think my chosen word will help me inside and outside of

school as to motivating me to sustain balance all year.
Stability is needed to prevent school and assignments to
overpower my social life, outside of school. My life does not
revolve around academics.. entirely, even though it is a
very essential part of my life. This way, I endure my mental
state a little bit better each day as I take a break from
school life.
