I’m Colby Johnson, Sales Operations Manager for Driver Industrial. Driver
Industrial. Well Driver Industrial, as far as the name goes, kinda to me means
we are driving change in the safety factors for all of the industrial markets. So
that’s what, in Sales, that’s our goal. Is to drive change, create opportunities
for us to sell and for ways for other companies to protect people’s lives. So
the culture of the company is really cool because it is a small business. We’ve
got about 30 people working here. It’s a lot of fun. Been here for four years,
working in a small group of sales people. We work together as a total team.
When anybody needs help doing anything, you just ask for help. We come
together and create solutions that include people from multiple departments.
So there’s a lot of team work. There’s a lot of camaraderie. We have a good
time over meals and just spending time together, making the best out of a
work day.

Strengths for Driver Industrial. I think one of the biggest strengths for Driver
Industrial is that we are a medium size company and being that we are we
have the exibility to kind of tax all of our departments to create solutions that
are very speci c for the needs of our customers. So we can really kind of cater
a solution. We can use our engineering department to create something new.
We can use the knowledge of our production team and our sales team and
other people who have been here a lot longer than me to create a best
practice immediately for our customers. So we can pivot really fast and come
together with a solid solution that’s pretty much guaranteed to work based on
the knowledge, the know-how, the trust. Everything we have together.

David Kasnic, Chief Executive O cer of Driver Industrial. Driver to
me is all about safety. It’s about keeping people safe and when they
get home at night. They can go home to their family without worrying

about a truck rolling over them or an accident at work. We’re in the
mining industry to help people keep safe. It sounds simple but it’s a
big deal for us to save lives. Really that’s what we do at Driver.

And with our products, it seems simple but they actually are very
complex. When you have vehicles in a mining application or an area < LinkedIn
that are so large, this is not a normal size vehicle. You need to have
the appropriate safety items to keep those workers safe. Like a
wheel chocknso that something, a vehicle, doesn’t roll and roll over
somebody. Or roll over a vehicle and kill somebody. So it’s
imperative to have that. They are regulated by the mine, safety and
health administration. And these items like the wheel chocks and our
whips, keep those workers safe because of the visibility and really
the non-technical part of it. You know, it’s not an emergency brake,
it’s something physical that keeps something from rolling. It sounds
very basic but it is very technical and at the core of this is about
saving people’s lives.
