Chapter P20  Electromagnetic forces

I don’t know much I need to do more I am really confident
about this work on this that I know and fully
understand this
A current-carrying coil in a magnetic field experiences
a turning effect. Use is made of this effect in electric
motors.

A force is exerted on any current-carrying conductor

that crosses a magnetic field. The direction of the
force depends on the direction of the field and the
current.
Make sure that you can describe an experiment
to show that there is a force on a current-carrying
conductor in a magnetic field.

The relative directions of force, field and current are

given by Fleming’s left-hand rule.

A current-carrying coil in a magnetic field experiences

a turning effect which can be increased by increasing
the number of turns on the coil, the current or the
magnetic field.
