It is a great pleasure to welcome all of you to the Secondary Leadership Assembly
2021-2022. Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King are all iconic
leaders who we admire and look up to. What made them such famous and
remarkable leaders were their qualities that persuaded people to respect and
follow them.
As I sat in those very seats 6 years ago I dreamed of making an impact in this school
and I hope that all of you are too. Use the opportunity you have been given today
to improve not only yourselves but also the people around you. Remember that
leaders are not born but made and leadership is the act of leading and guiding a
team in a manner that the success of one is directly linked to the success of the
team. Therefore, we are all gathered here to recognize our exceptional leadership
team and encourage them to work towards making our student community the
very best. I hope that you all empower the people around you and create a better
future for all of us.
