This book addresses itself primarily to the issues relating to Educational
Psychology in the context of schools in Africa, but not exclusively so. In compiling the text, extensive use has been made of theoretical constructs and research findings of psychologists and educationalists the world over. The text has been written for students engaged in teacher training in our colleges of education and university departments of education. The book is essentially an introductory text. For students who wish to make a more detailed study of the topics mentioned, an extensive bibliography is in- cluded. At the end of each chapter revision questions, which it is hoped will ensure lively class discussion, are provided. Comments from colleagues would be much appreciated.
