1. You are not allowed to write anything in the question paper apart from your roll number in the
place indicated.
2. Attempt all questions
3. You are allowed to carry/retain all hand written notes to the hall. No printed matter will be
allowed. You are allowed to use your laptop for computation purposes.
4. You are not allowed to leave the examination hall before submitting the answer sheet.
5. You must not have your cell phone with yourself at anytime during the conduct of the
examination

7. The questions relate to the file shared with you earlier named <March 2018>

1. Create a pie chart of pupil-teacher ratio by town and create a bar plot of proportion of non-retail

business acres per town (1)

2. Find the summary statistics and interpret the result. (1)

3. Identify the number of towns whose crime rate is more than 1. (1)

4. Can we conclude from the data that crime rate has an impact on value of property (1)

5. Test the following hypothesis at 5% level of significance

a. Ho: Mean age is greater than 70

b. Ho: there is no significant association between DIS and RAD (2+2)

6. What will be the median value of an owner occupied home (in ‘0 000$) if the per-capita crime

rate is 0.752. (2)
