1. What is the argument that the text is making? Summarize ir in your own words.
2. Why does the writer want to give some examples about works written with
alternatives ways of notation?
3. Why is it said that people may consider the graphic scores vague and
imprecise?
4. Why is this type of scores easier to be understood by a non musician that the
traditional notation scores?

1. Is there a real need to change the notation or experiment with it? Have you ever
written down music in an alternative way?
2. Do you think these kinds of graphic scores are a fad that soon is going to
disappear?
3. Do you agree with the text in the point that these scores are vague? Do you
think that they could be specific with some improvements?
4. According to your opinion, will this way of writing down music replace the
