THERE’S ALWAYS TOMORROW

Yeng Constantino's music video "Kaya Ko Ang Pagbabago" means "to rise again." Our
country, the Philippines, is already a failed economy, but people, particularly young
people, are working hard to resurrect the country. As one national hero once said, "the
youth is the hope of our future," and as the pandemic spreads, many families are
starving to death due to insufficient financial support. Many workers have lost their jobs,
but things are gradually returning to normal. Companies are already hiring, and many
families, particularly poor and homeless families, are free to roam. It is never too late to
escape a bad situation. The pandemic had a severe impact on us, including education.
It's not easy to take online classes, and it's difficult to concentrate in school these days.
The online class is indeed for the wealthy, but look at us. We're all doing fine. We've
completed the previous school year, so there's no reason to continue. It's difficult to
keep going, especially for young people, but with our parents' help, we can accomplish
more than we ever imagined. And, as someone who has been through almost
everything, I've been at my lowest point and no one was there to help me. I was able to
raise myself without the assistance of anyone else. I can say that it is not the end of
everything; it will not be easy, but we can and will rise again if we want to.

I can link the song to social work principles and values. According to what I've gleaned
from the song, it refers to self-actualization and striving for one's goals, as well as
responsibility to society and the environment, which is a major theme in the principles
and values of social work.

After hearing the song, it motivates me as a student to continue pursuing my life goals
and dreams. The lyrics "At ang bawat hakbang ay papunta sa tagumpay, Ako ang
papanday ng aking buhay" have a strong impact on me, particularly now. As I previously
stated, keeping up with others in this pandemic is extremely difficult. We are all having
issues with our schools and our homes. The earth revolves around itself. Maybe you're
having a bad day today, but there's always tomorrow.
