Bi Component Fibre
Bi Component Fibre
The fibres which consist of two components divided along the length of fibre into two more
or less distinct regions are termed as bi-component fibre. The polymer may physically or
chemically different. Example Core spun.
Thermal bonding.
Self-bulking and very fine fibre.
Unique cross section.
Functionality of special polymer or additive at reduced cost.
Uniform distribution of adhesive, fibre remains a part of structure and adds integrity,
customized sheath materials to bond various materials, wide ranges of bonding
temperature, cleaner, environment friendly, recyclables,
lamination/molding/densification of component.
