Monitoring and control

1)

An input device that records data about the environment or surroundings.

Automatically inputs the data into a computer system to be processed.

2)

An infrared sensor can be used to monitor infrared energy emitted and can detect a change if an
intruder enters, it does this by detecting an increase in temp due to entry by intruder.

A pressure sensor can be used as it senses when pressure is added or taken from a specific area this
could be used to tell both if there is in intruder or if something has been taken.

3)

Sensors can be placed in areas to dangerous for humans, this means Ares high in radiation that need
to be monitored but are too dangerous can be monitored without danger to human life.

Sensors can take monitor 24/7. This means that humans do not need to be present to make the
system run. This means humans don’t need to be in the plant and can be alerted if the plant is in
trouble.

4)

5)

Motion sensors can be used to control lights.

Temp sensors can be used to control the air-condition units.

Pressure sensors can be cued on the windows

Humidity sensors can be used in the green house to control sprinklers.
