GSH how this has impacted my life, is honestly quite impossible. My son was first the victim of a shooting, by his own father, and two weeks later his life was changed for a second time. On September 2, 2018 a bomb detonated outside each of our bedroom windows while we slept. The explosion shook our entire neighborhood. The lifelong trauma of having a bomb detonate 10 feet from your bed while you slept causes is horrific. My son will forever be haunted by the trauma his father caused him. sifiFAy car was parked a few feet closer to the gas lines, this would have been a murder case. Mostinights, my son has problems sleeping, | have problems sleeping. If | wake up to any noise in the middle of the night, | wake up in a panic and feel like | am having a heart attack. My son has been in constant counseling to help cope with the trauma. We had hoped that we would have more time, that the City would help protect us from such a violent man, but they have not.elllehavertad to re-locate and move from a home we once felt safe in. We have had to change everything in our lives because of this man. Not one charge being pressed against him is not only heartbreaking but infuriating. ‘WHewojrouit attorney's office has completely abandoned its duty to keep my child and his siblings safe from a violent and dangerous man. Because of the Direct Negligence and abandonment of the Circuit Attorneys office, my son will not be safe from him. All charges were dropped. What is going to prevent this dangerous and violent man from doing something again? How is this even acceptable to put this man back into society? — be made known and on the record that the people who are elected in The Circuit Attorneys Office In St. Louis MO to keep our children and our community safe, are more concerned about protecting the criminals that harm children than protecting the children that have been hurt. The way this case was handled was so unprofessional and quite honestly | am embarrassed for them. They have failed to enforce the law in such a enormous way. My sons chance at having any justice for this has been ripped away from him.WhewohIVSHOMeY that cared about this case on the state side was Attorney Sabrina Lampley, once she was removed from the case, this went from one attorney to the next. The number of attorney's on this case has been a total of 5 Since Sabrina Lampley left, the only communication | have had with any attorney has been by me checking Casenet and contacting the Victim Advocate. Not one time was | ever updated as to what is currently going on in this case if | had not provoked the conversation and questions about the safety of my son. The answers | received were short, and vague. ‘E@minstange, the FBI Special Agent Carolan and Bomb Squad Detective Wilderson reached out to me to inquire about what is going on and notify me that he will be getting out of federal custody in December 2022. On 05/20/21 a letter of a motion for dismissal was received by the Prosecuting Attorneys office. | had a conference call with Attorney Scott Michael Swiney and Jennifer Stiff the victim advocate on 7/14/21. have all email chains confirming this communication. Mr. Swiney confirmed he was aware of the motion for dismissal at that time. Mr. Swiney failed to respond to the motion for dismissal and stated in a call on 01/03/22 that he was not aware nor was his office aware of this, and that it will be dismissed. FROUNPOTERTONaTgM negligence, and misconduct of Mr. Swiney and his team have a direct result in a violent criminal who had made two separate attacks on a child, be released back into society. Mr. Swiney should not be in a position of being a prosecutor whose main job is to protect the public when he has zero concern for the children in our community. Attorneys are obligated to uphold the law, Mr. Swiney has failed to do this. | feel my victim rights have been violatedand that my chance at justice has been taken away from me due to Mr. Swiney’s negligence. Foactasifthiis should not be addressed on the state side because the Federal side charged him for not Registering his bomb, the state was supposed to charge him with the child abuse with substantial risk to life, detonating a destructive device, property damage, discharging a fire arm, a second charge for child abuse with substantial risk to life, and arson.
