1.0 MODULE DESCRIPTION

In this module the student learns about the basic concepts and approaches of AutoCAD
and uses geometry and mathematical routines. The learner produces and edits
construction related drawings while covering all aspects of the fundamentals of
AutoCAD by way of hands on training on the basis of one student to one computer.

Upon completion of the course the student should be able to:

3.0 MODULE CONTENT AND CONTEXT

Unit 1: AutoCAD's Interface [15 hrs]

Specific Objectives
At the end of the unit the student should be able to:
1 Identify a minimum of 90% of the parts of AutoCAD screen new interface
2 Set up drawing environment accurately to draw a floor plan base on floor plan
dimension within 1min
3 Start a drawing, open an existing drawing and save a drawing properly
4 Write a programme to draw geometrical shapes using Cartesian coordinate system

The first assessment is based on 15% Theoretical online quiz where the
