(Part A)

I have picked Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan.

Alternative Hypothesis:

Saudi Arabia is coercing Pakistan to obtain military support for its

foreign engagements.

Null Hypothesis:

Saudi Arabia is not coercing Pakistan to obtain military support for its

foreign engagements.

Independent Variable:

military support for foreign engagements

Dependent Variable:

Coercion of Saudi Arabia

Rapport questions:

Q1: How do you see the relationship of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia so far?

Q2: People of Pakistan feels that Saudi Arabia is the ambassador of Pakistan internationally.
Is it true?

Formal Questions:

Q3: Have you personally observe any respect for Saudi Arabia in the eyes of the people of

Pakistan?

Q4: How much trust do you have in the military establishment of Pakistan that they will

cooperate with you in your difficult times?

Q5: Is there any time or era where you feel that Pakistan government and military don’t

support as much as they could?

Q6: In the recent past, Pakistan remained the part of many wars in the Middle East and some

of them were associated with Saudi Arabia. Did you feel that Saudi Arabia was the

beneficiary of these wars to gain dominancy in the region?

Q7: Why do you want that Pakistan and India should have settle down their bilateral issues

through peaceful dialogues whereas your own country has many disputes with your

neighbouring countries?

Q8: Why Saudi Arabia wanted Pakistan not to have good ties with Iran in the past? And

wanted Pakistan to fight against the militant groups of Iran?

Q9: In case of Yemen in 2015, military support was asked by Pakistan but there was a

rejection by Pakistani Parliament jointly. How did Saudi government perceive this decision?

Q10: It has been observed most of the times that sometimes there comes a clash between

Islamabad and Riyadh but military leadership of Pakistan came in between and try to resolve

the issue. Why that much importance for military instead of civilian government? Is there

secret expectations from military?

Q11: The latest troop sent to Saudi Arabia from Pakistan have assigned on a joint training

sessions with Saudi military but will not dispatched towards Yemen because Pakistan

military developed significant skills in mountain warfare and counter-insurgencies and will

transfer these skills to Saudi military. But the only mountainous region in Saudi Arabia that’s
currently engaged is Yemen border. Are they really doing joint exercises?

Q12: Saudi Financial help to Pakistan in difficult time is really great. But always they ask for

immediate return of the loan whenever there comes a clash between the two countries. Why

is this case?

I have added simple question at first by asking about the issues which does not have any kind

of controversies or different opinion and they are kind of informative question to only check

the informative capacity of the respondent. The questions which I asked earlier are general

questions and is also based on personal opinion somehow and I think any kind of people are

more likely to give personal opinion on national issues. Secondly I put a bit confusing

question in the middle which are based on information that has left with some vacuum and

could be analysed critically. I asked question about some issues which has been portrayed

differently to public of both the countries instead of the real facts. Most of the time media

propagates things in a very simple manner but the things are much complicated and they used

to hide the facts from public so I asked question trying to get the information which they are

trying to hide. In this way some difficult questions have been ordered in the middle.
