Today im going to present business review.

These are the topics of the news im going to talk about today.

The first news is about US inflation, the second one is about green jobs,
and the last topic is the impact of homeworking on business.

The first news is US inflation hits highest level for nearly 40 years.

American shoppers have felt the pinch of higher prices, with annual
inflation at rates not seen for 40 years. The latest (레이티스트)figures
show prices rose 6.8% in the year to November.

But the impact is felt more amongst those on the lowest incomes, with the
least room to manage. A cleaner in New York, said she has had to cut back
as a result, sometimes buying just one meal to share with her son.

Price rises have pushed up food shopping bills, and petrol prices. Prices
for American consumers are rising at their fastest annual rate since June
1982.

Christopher Campbell, who is chief strategist at Kroll a risk consultancy,

and a former Treasury official under President Trump, said that one of the
major reasons they have inflation is because the government spent so
much money.

However Claudia Sahm, who is a senior fellow at the Jain Family Institute
and former Federal Reserve economist, said government spending is not
the cause, but the reason inflation has persisted is because the pandemic
has not been brought under control, affecting the supply of things like cars,
fuel (f ㅠ우)and food.

President Biden has pledged to make tackling inflation a priority and has
made moves to ease supply chain problems, including changing rules for
transport operators.
The next one is More work needed to create green jobs.

A green job is a job that directly contributes to tackling climate change. It

is the new generation of workers making it work for them.

Efforts to create green jobs need to intensify, if the UK government is to

achieve its target of two million roles by 2030, according to a report.
Boosting green job creation is part of the government's "green industrial
revolution" plans.

COP26(콥) Leaders agree global plan to boost green technology. The COP
26 summit, held in Glasgow a year later, has put the issue into sharp focus
again.

Kevin Ellis, PwC chairman and senior partner, said that jobs are getting
greener and this is cause for optimism.

on the other hand, there are concerns that the green jobs transition could
pose some risks, as it will have an impact on traditional jobs, especially in
polluting industries.

The last one is home working to impact Birmingham businesses.

Some businesses in Birmingham fear they will lose customers before
Christmas following changes to Covid rules. Here are the different
reactions of two people.
1) Purecraft Bar & Kitchen in the city centre said it was seeing up to
about 30% cancellations.
People in England should start working at home again if they can,
the government said, under plans to tackle the spread of the
Omicron variant.
Paul Brazier, from Purecraft, said it was reliant on people working
in the business district and it is going to impact them considerably,
people working from home. they've seen that previous, when the
government made those decisions last time and they're going to see
that again. It's heavily impacting on their business.
2) Michelle Dalton (미셸달튼), from Rockfine Group limited, stated
the government was giving them the flexibility to make the best
decision for their team and for their business, and the company
would have a work-from-home arrangement.
And she said while home working reduces virus transmission, they
also have to balance that with the wellbeing of their employees and
then the needs of the business / to have team working together and
sharing ideas effectively.
