“United as Americans” Awareness Campaign

Program #01:

“Shoot for the Environment”

• A contest that is open to every resident in the United States where they can
submit a film or documentary about climate change as a part of their entry.

• The winner of this contest will be:

a.) Given a ticket to the “USA Says Save the Mother Nature” concert

b.) A Meet and Greet opportunity with the performers; and

c.) The winning entry will be shown at all movie theaters nationwide.

Program #02:

“USA says Save the Mother Nature”

Target Date: September-October 2018

• One night beneficiary concert that will feature on of the greatest pop artist of
2018, including Marshmello, Liam Payne and, and for the first time, on of the best
Filipino pop-rock is coming to the USA and that is the IV of Spades.

• All of the Ticket fund will be used for the other program such as the Coast-All
Cleaning.

• Money collected from the said event will also be used as a budget for other
Environment related programs or activities.

Program #03:

“Coast-All Cleaning”

• This program will all be about the coastal cleaning in the Los Angeles Beach in
order to support the coordination of the development of the national climate
change adaption strategies and the implementation of selected measures to
 protect our and increase the resiliency of the coastal environment and
communities.

OTHER PLANS:

Use of Biodegradable Plastic Bags

Target Date: On or Before Year 2019

• Biodegradable Plastic decomposes for 3 to 6 months.

• Implementation of the use of Biodegradable Plastic Bags in Malls, Grocery

Stores, and most products that uses the traditional Non-biodegradable plastic
wrappers or casings. With the exceptions of Medicine wrappers or canisters,
Water gallons, Industrial tools and the like.

• Aims to reduce production of traditional, non-biodegradable plastic products.

Rehearing of the ACES Bill

Target Date: Before Year 2020

• Also Known as American Clean Energy and Security Bill.

• Variant of emission trading plan similar to the European Union Emission Trading
Scheme.

• Aims to use renewable sources of energy, Caps on emissions of greenhouse

gases, and supports development of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids.

• The bill would increase funding for the Energy Worker Training Program. The
workers that are displaced due to new emission regulations would be entitled to
156 weeks of income supplement (70 percent of their average weekly wages), 80
percent of their monthly health-care premium, up to $1,500 for job-search
assistance, and up to $1,500 for moving assistance.

• Industries would be required with permits in order to produce carbon dioxide

emissions. 85% percent of the permits would be given away for free while the 15
percent would be auctioned off. Permits contain specific number of tons of
emission, depending on its value. Upon producing the specific number of tons of
emissions that was on the permit, the permit would be consumed, and they will
be required to buy a new permit. Industries that fail to purchase a new permit
would be fined by twice the market price of the permit.
