CASE STUDY ON TWO WAY ANOVA

Scientists from the Nutrition Society of India were doing an experiment on

weight gain. Ten repre-sentative rats were randomly selected. Each of them
were fed with three types of diet (beef, pork and cereal) once in low quantity
and once in high. The weight gained by the rats was measured in grams. So
there is 10*3*2 or 60 observations in total. The data set name and the variable
descriptions are as follows:

Data Set: Twowayanova.sas7bdat

Variables:
1. Weight_Gain: Weight gain in grams
2. Diet_Amount: High = 1, Low = 2
3. Diet_Type: Beef = 1, Pork = 2, Cereal=3

The scientists are now considering whether Diet amount and Diet_type have
any effect on Weight_gain. At the same time, whether the interaction between
Diet_type and Diet_amount has any effect on Weight_Gain or not.
