Is the definition of human in the ecosystem, any different in the current times?

Where do humans
fit in the ecosystem? What is our role?

As the times are changing drastically, with changes in the living environment, the existence of mankind is
gradually shifting to human domination and in no time it will progressively change to human
abomination. As the human greed in increasing by day, it is now currently at the top of the ecosystem,
making us accountable entities and leaving a lot of responsibility as compared to the rest of them that are
a part of this system. The significance of human interference remains equivalent as compared to the past,
however due to the changes brought about by humans that have affected the overall bionetwork; the
contribution from our end is heftier. Hence, according to me, the role of humans in the ecosystem is
different rather than the definition all together.

Humans are a fundamental part as well as core of the ecosystem. However, what brings together an
ecosystem, in my opinion, is the equity derived from the all the components that form that network. In
order to achieve that balance, we as humans have to give back more at times with the intension to receive
what everything else around us has to offer. This cycle of giving and receiving is what makes the
ecosystem working. As we know that with role comes responsibility, humans are on the apex of this
structure with a lot to handle.

A strong ecosystem includes a lot of biodiversity and a proper interface between the remaining
components that form one. As a major segment of this section, we as humans, play a significant role in
maintaining this biodiversity, respecting the natural forces around us, contributing to the built
environment, as well as the well being of biotic and abiotic factors.
