ASSIGNMENT OF NEGRO AFRICAN LITERATURE

W.E.B DUBOIS

He is one of black American writers .Dubois contributed too much to the future of
Negroes throughout his race’s terrible conditions. He worked too much on that vision he
had .His dream stood on the following qualities:
- equality,
- unity
- and freedom.

Moreover, Dubois was Director of publicity and research editor of the «Crisis »,
Professor of Sociology. From those different jobs, he had opportunities to hold Lectures and
meetings.

The meetings he was holding were constantly about awakening Negroes’


awareness to fight against oppression they were enduring. His dream was not only for a part
of black living in the United States but all blacks. So, he had a universal dream when
remaining in the context of Negroes people.

To sum it up, Dubois had a big dream for all blacks, that of equality, unity and
freedom. He was expressing it through meetings he was holding.
