Evaluate the expression for x = 3 and y = 6.

you are explaining the problem to someone that doesn’t
understand any math.

It’s three because when x is the same as three we can swap


those, to where the other three is where the x was. We can do the
same to the y but instead of three we use six. So now it’s read:
“Three times three times two divided by six.” You usually go
from left to right so we go three times three is what? Nine, that’s
right. Now what’s two times nine? Eighteen, right. And now we
divide eighteen by six which gives us what? Three, exactly.
