a) What relationship does the tree have with the earth?
Ans: A tree has a very deep relation with the earth. each other. First, the seed germinates
inside the Earth. Then, there’s a small plant which then extracts nutrients for the soil of the
Earth. The tree draws nourishment from the earth through its roots. Then when the tree
becomes big, Earth helps it to stand upright. Earth protects the roots from getting destroyed.
Hence, Earth helps the tree right from its birth till the time it is pulled out from earth’s
cave and left to wither and die. 3.5/5

b) What role did Prashant play to organize the youth to help the cyclone-affected people in
Ersama?
Ans: After massive damage due to a cyclone. Prashant decided to help his own family and
others. He organized a group of youths. They pressurized the local merchants to give them
rice. They burnt fire to cook rice. Next, he had to clean up the place of shelter that was full
of dirt, urine, dead bodies, etc. They gave first aid to those who were injured. On the fifth
day, the helicopter dropped some food but it never returned. So, to attract the helicopter he
placed some children with empty utensils in their hands and one hand on their stomach for
them to understand that they were hungry and it also worked and they dropped food
regularly. Shelters were put up for orphans and the elders were motivated to look after
them. Widows were encouraged to take part in food-for-work programme set up by the
NGO. In this way, with the help of youth Prashant was able to help the cyclone victims
to get back to normalcy. 4/5

Leaked reports from a top-secret agency indicate that Government scientists are planning for
UK citizens to be replaced entirely by perfect robot replicas within the next ten years.
According to a report in The Sun, the leaked report says that the MIT (Ministry of
Information Technology) will soon see the development and sale to the public of mechanical
representations of humans called ‘surrogate’, which are operated through mind control. It
says that the UK population will be cajoled by a huge public marketing campaign into
purchasing their own ‘surrogates’ and a special operating device – called a “stim chair” – that
they attach themselves to in the safety of their own home.
The mind pattern impulses sent through diodes on the “stim chair” then activate the
individual “surrogates” who take to the streets to tackle the day-to-day grind of the
individual. The startling technology logical advance will be billed to the UK as a necessary
