SAP means system applications and product in data processing.It started by 5 EX IBM employes by
Wellenreuther,Hopp,Hector,Plattner & Tschira.

Sap fico: Consists two modules is sap financial and sap controlling Both modules deals with specific
function.The SAP FI module deals with financial accounting and reporting. The sap co module deals with
monitor cost and financial planning.all help us in financial decisions.

In FI their are sub modules that are

General ledger: Is use for complete report internal and external a/c. It controls the company transation
data and all lists of the accounts. These can be recorded in sub modules in real times.

Account payable: These records have vendor accounts data. It also consists of data regarding vendor
transactions and vendor accounts.

Accounts Receivable: These are records that are used to manage all customer accounting data. It is also
used customer all accounts and transactions. It also consists all invoice payments, down payments,
invoice postings and customers reports.

 Asset Accounting : This sub-module is used for managing the company’s assets. This includes all fixed
assets such as heavy equipment, land, and buildings. The module also has asset transactions including
sales, transfers, revaluations, and asset acquisitions.

Bank Ledger –This contains all the bank account transaction data. It can merge all transaction data on
bank statements. Then, it can compare the data with transactions stored in the system .
