REFLECTION:

Having a Bible study with my family was fun and heartwarming at the same time. We read the
Bible passages, shared our thoughts, sung prayer songs, and played games such as throwing the ball and
whoever catches it shares his/her thoughts on a certain passage that was read. There was so much
excitement that it definitely made me feel how our bond was strong. I mean, my family and I’s bond is
strong in the very first place but the Bible study made it stronger. Not just our bond towards each other
but towards God’s as well. That is why I wanted to keep doing this Bible study with my family to ensure
our stable relationship. This also made me realize how blessed I am to have a complete and ideal family.
This is so because it made me reminisce the time when I was in grade 11, we had a ‘sharing your
personal experience’ moments on our Personal Development subject and many of my classmates shared
that they have a broken family wherein one of their parents passed away, cheated, ran away, or
somewhat like those. That is why I am grateful to God as I learned that family is at the center of God's
plan for the happiness and progress of His children. The Holy Bible teaches that God established families
from the very beginning, and it shows us many examples of strong families---and made us realize how
we are also one. So, we should keep treasuring our families and continue to be grateful to God by
always praying, attending masses, listening to His words, and applying the lessons in our life (I’ll
definitely keep doing these) .
