REFLECTION:

What struck me the most in my Sunday experience is when my older sister finally and genuinely
opened up how she was struggling but was scared to ask and seek help from us. She said that she
doesn’t want us to view her as weak and pathetic person who couldn’t even face her own challenges.
However, she said that after reading the Bible passages and sharing our thoughts about it, it made her
realize that it is not good that man should be alone---as can be seen in Genesis 2.18. This also opened
my eyes how no man is an island and we have to learn on how to ask for help and receive help from
other people, not just our family. That is why God provides us the people around us to lessen our
burdens. Truly, God is a loving, concern, and helpful God that is why we should continue to seek help
when needed but never forget to thank Him (not just when our prayers are answered, but also for the
non-ending blessings that He provides us). Additionally, we should never forget to approach the ones
who need our help and extend our hands and hearts to them. May our hearts be filled with sympathy
and compassion as big as God’s love for us.
