Timing Lesson Objectives – What’s the job? 1) Early birds activity Students who arrive to class punctual will complete the job with the correct 5 min description. Slide 2 2) Warm up. Word search Puzzle Students will use the function “Draw” in Zoom to find 8 jobs in the word search 5 min puzzle in Slide 3. 3) Unit Intro / Vocabulary Presentation - Use slides 5-12. Ask students to read the description, see the photo and 10 min complete with the correct job. Students can use the chat box to share answers. 4) Listening: part 1. Using the listening of p.22 ask students to complete the table in slide 13 with the questions that are asked to WAYNE and her wife. 10 min Part 2. Check if the students have written down the correct questions Listen again and answer the question: What do Wayne and Tanya do? 5) What’s my profession? Tell students that you have 2 more jobs besides being a teacher. (You can choose the ones that you like) Tell them that they 10 min have 2 minutes to ask you questions and try to discover what your job is. 6) Pair work: Now its students turn. Ask students to pretend they have 2 other jobs. They will ask each other questions in order to guess what their 10 job is. 7) Grammar focus: Present Simple Affirmative and Negatives 10 min 8) Control Practice Game: Students will select the grammatically correct 15 min question.
