Curriculum evaluation

1. In my point of view, it is not possible that there will be no be curriculum evaluation

because a curriculum should always be evaluated in order to make improvements. If a
curriculum is not evaluated, then it is like settling for less. There will be no room for
growth and development, therefore the curriculum will not change to its best version and
we do not want that to happen because we always seek for improvements. Additionally,
curriculum evaluation is very important so that teaching and learning process will be
effective and efficient.
2. We need a model for curriculum evaluation so that we can not be misled. A model for a
curriculum evaluation serves as a guide on what to do when evaluating.
3. The difference between formative evaluation and summative evaluation is that, formative
evaluation is used during the teaching learning process to monitor the learning process.
Formative evaluation is developmental in nature. The aim of this evaluation is to improve
student’s learning and teacher’s teaching while summative evaluation Summative
evaluation is used after the course completion to assign the grades. Summative
evaluation is terminal in nature. Its purpose is to evaluate student’s achievement.
