Savannah Lindsay Hausler

My name is Savannah Hausler, I am 17 years old, and I have lived in Boyne City

Michigan my entire life. I am a senior at Boyne City High School. I have two chocolate labs

named Leroy and Meeca. Leroy is five years old and possibly the sweetest, grumpiest old man

you will ever meet. He enjoys keeping an eye on the front lawn while lounging on his bed on the

front porch and under absolutely no situation will play with his annoying younger sister, Meeca.

Meeca on the other hand is 10 months old and loves playing with Leroy, chewing on everything

she shouldn’t be, stealing all of the attention from Leroy, and somehow getting on the kitchen

counters.

As of this year, I am a part of the girls golf team. This is the first year that Boyne is

offering a girls team. In the past, I thought about going out for the guys' team. Even though I'm

not very good, it's a lot of fun to just be out there. The team was put together at the last minute so

I only got out about once or twice. Also for the past three summers I have helped a friend's

grandma with cleaning houses and this year I decided to get another job at a local restaurant

called Stiggs Brewing Co. As of right now, I will be working at Stiggs all year round but we’ll

see how I feel as the school year goes on. I am currently taking three college classes per

semester. I would be taking more but the school doesn't allow students to take more than what I

already have. My college hours also just happened to line up with my fifth and sixth hours which

means that I can go home either before or after lunch.

Although I don't have a solid plan for life after high school, I am trying my best to work

on skills that will help with the career that I want to go into. I am in the fifth year program. This

program is run through North Central Michigan College. In it you take up to three college classes

per semester and then after you graduate high school you take a free year at North Central. After
the year is over, you can either stay at the college or transfer into another. During this I want to

study architecture and interior design and after my “fifth year” I hope to follow my mom and go

to Michigan State University.
