Oh, Hello is a show that appeals to all audiences—comedy nerds and theatre
geeks alike. Written by comedy stars Nick Kroll and John Mulaney, it began as a comedy
act performed by the duo and was popularized on Comedy Central’s Kroll Show. The
characters appeared on several other shows, including Late Night with Seth Meyers,
Comedy Bang! Bang!, Conan, Chelsea, and Portlandia. It eventually became an off-
Broadway play in December 2015 and played for several weeks at the Cherry Lane
Theatre in Greenwich Village. Following this, the pair took the show on the road to
several select cities around the country and were met with huge success. It then moved to
Broadway and ran for 138 performances at the Lyceum Theatre from September 2016 to
January 2017. The show had rave reviews during each of its runs and managed to gain a
massive fan base, mostly made up of hardcore comedy fans. The show was recorded and
became a Netflix special, including special guests Steve Martin and Matthew Broderick
Comedy itself is an art form that appeals to all age groups. After all, who doesn’t
love to laugh? People of all walks of life can and will sit down and enjoy a show that
makes them giggle until their stomachs hurt and they pee a little. The stars, who are in
their mid to late thirties have fans that range from teenagers to people on their second or
third midlife crises, but the age of their characters in the show adds the retired crowd into
the mix. Because of this widespread appeal, a show of this magnitude would be highly
successful on a regional tour, especially after the success of its previous runs on
