The following is our mast important suggestion. @Fastening the Seat Belt Cor- rectly Wear a seat belt correctly and you'll have the most optimal protection against any kind of vehicle crashes. An airbag can asist the seat belt with pro- tection against injury, but only when a medium or severe frontal impact oc cuts, can the air bag infiate, Therefore, although your vehicle is equipped with air bags, do always wear seat belts Correctly to ensure the safety of al passengers @Arrange all child passengers properly The children should be arranged prop- erly inthe rear seats instead of front ones. if the children are too young to wear the seat belts, they need to be placed propery in the child restraint systems. @Alert to the possible dangers of airbags Though it has a srotective function, the ar bag may cause serious or even fatal injury to the child near it or not protected well, especialy to infants, Children, and adults of short stature Do always abide by all the guidance and warings in this manual. @Drunk driving is forbidden Driving a car while drinking or after- ward is forbidden, Even when drinking 2 glace of wine can slow down your reflexes and mental sharpness. Remote contral key 3. Mechanical key This model is equipped with two keys (emote key as one of them) and one key number plate, There is a key code necessary for matching the keys. This code is the only way to have the keys matched by a Great Wall Motor Authorized Service Station, Since the doars and trunk door can be locked without a key, make sure 10 carry the spare key to prevent care- lessly locking the key in the vehicle. > CAUTION: » When using keys with the immobi- lizer converter, observe the follow- ing precautions: + When starting the engine, do not use the key around other keys containing immobilizer converters, Otherwise, the engine may not start or may stop soan after it starts. If this happens, remove the key once and then remove the oth er keys with an immobilizer converter ‘rom the ring. + Do not bend the key grip. Otherwise, de Lansponder which i bull io the key grip may be damaged, thus the engine cannot be started. * Da not cover the key grip with any ma- {eral that cuts off the electromagnetic = Do not knock the key against other objects. + Do not leave the key exposed to high temperatures for an extended period, such as on the dashboard or hood in direct sunlight. + Do not put the key in water or wash it jnan ultrasonic washer. The magnetic field will affect the immobilizer con verter built into the key, which could affect the starting the vehicle + Since the infomation on the key um ber plate is necessary for key match- ing, please take special care of the key number plate. * Give the key number plate to the own- fer when purchasing or transfering the vehicle 2012.06.15 Remote Control Functions SS The remote control function can be used to lock and unlack the vehicle and the trunk from the outside of the vehicle, 1. Indicator lamp 44, Trunk opening switch If the remote control key reduces the effective distance, cannot actuate the doors, or the indicator light on the key is dimmed or does not come on, all of these indicate the battery is low, please replace the battery. When all the doors are unlocked simultaneously, the lights wil flash twee. Automatic locking The car door will close and lock autor matically, ifthe vehicle speed is above 15 knvh. 2. Collision detection for examining the function of the lock system of car door For the car equipped with air bag, When a collision causes the air bag inflate, all the car doors will unlock ‘automatically. Front passenger's side window switch The front passenger's side window switch is used to handle the front passenger's side window. To keep the windowy at the current position, move the finger away from. the switch. ‘Automatic Lowering ofWindow {only for the driver's side) ‘To open the window completely, just press the button beside the driver's seat and move away the finger. To stop halfway, if the switch lightly and move away the firger. Life up the switch lightly when it is necessary to stop the window halfway, > WARNING : To avoid serious per- sonal injury, you must do the fol- lowing: Before closing the power windows, always make sure there is nobody around the power windows. You must also make sure the heads, hands, and ‘other parts of the bodies of all occu- ants are kept completely inside the vehicle. if someone's neck, head, or hhands get caught in a closing window, it could result in serious injury or even death. When anyone clases the power windows, make sure he or she oper- ates the windows safely. ‘Never jam any part of your body in or- der to try the jam protection function, as It could result in serious injury or even death, The jam protection function may nat work if something gets caught just be- fore the window is fuly dosed. When small chilren are in the vehicle, never let them touch the power win dow switches without supervision.
