ACTIVE AND PASSIVE VOICE

There are two ways in writing a sentence. Active and also Passive.

Active voice
-Tells about what a person or thing does (orang atau benda melakukan
sesuatu)
-Someone or something (subject) did an action (verb) on
what/why/where/when/how/who (object)
-Formula Active Voice

Subject + Verb + Object

Ali + rides + a bike

-Must start with a subject and then what does the subject do which is a verb
and what/why/who/where/when/how do the verb is being received

Passive Voice
-Tells us what is done by someone or something (sesuatu dilakukan oleh
seseorang atau benda)
- What/why/who/where/when/how (object) is done (verb) by something or
someone (subject)
Formula Passive Voice

Object + Verb + Subject

The bike + is rode + by Ali

-Must start with an object then comes the verb and who did the action which
is a noun
*REMEMBER – The verb written in a passive voice must be in Past Participle Form (3rd column of
Verb)
