people or to be competitive? What do you think is the reason why this types of dance are necessary to
teach in physical education class?

In this module, you will learn about cheer and festival dance. Do you know where and when
cheer dance started? Who were the cheerleaders then? Do you also know the reasons that affect our
cultural dances In this module you will come to know the origin of cheer dancing, the basic hand and leg
positions as well as the qualities of a good cheerleader. Also, you would come to know the different
cultural dances that we have in the Philippines.
