RVWTH Business Schools advises and provides services for participants in their Master's degree program. These services include guiding assistance for organizational and academic matters. ‘The participant hereby bindingly commits to attend the above Master course as per the following contract. {§ 1 Basic principles (1) This contract comes into force with the participant's original signature. The participant only secures his or her study place in the Masters degree rogram if this signed contract has been returned to RWTH Business School by 6 April 2020 and the tuition fees have been paid by the deadlines stipulated in § 4 (2) The participant wil take part in the course of study for 2 Master of Science in Management and Engineering in Technology, Innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Upon successful ‘completion of the course and aftar passing the relevant examinations, RWTH Aachen University Shall confer upon the participant the academic degree "Master of Science" with the addendum of “Management and Engineering in Technology, Innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship’ (8) RWTH Business School provides the Master of Science in Management and Engineering in Technology, Innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship on a basis covered by private law. (4) The participant agrees to adhere to RWTH Business School's General Terms & Conditions. (6) The course-specitic examination regulations for the Master of Science in Management and Engineering in Technology, Innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship and the general rues for ‘enrolment at RTH Aachen University in their present form are basic provisions ofthis contract. ‘Tho participant has to comply with his or her obligations for participation according tothe rules for enrolment, this includes a registration to the course vie RWTHoniine. {6) Rights arising from this contract may not be transferred to third parties. usBUSINESS | IRWITHAACHEN SCHOOL UNIVERSITY {§ 2 Structure of the course (j) The Master of Science in Management and Engineering in Technology, Innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship stats in winter semester 2020/21. The totel duration of the course of study is tives semesters. The participants will be informed about the detaled scheduling of the various ‘modules. {@) The content and structure of the course is governed by RWTH Aachen University’s current ‘examination regulations forthe Master of Science in Management and Engineering in Technology, Innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. The examination regulations are applicable forall pariipants lecturers and course organisers and form part of this contract. (@) The lecturers teaching in the program are responsible forthe contents of the course of study in preparation for the examination. The general aignment ofthe course is the responsiblity of the ‘academic director of the program. (4) The contents of the program may change. inthis case, RWTH Aachen University wil change the tremination rules for the course of study leading to the master’s degree. (1) The Master of Science in Management and Enginesring in Technology, Innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship course requires the participation of all examination related activities, {§ 3 Position of the participant (j) The paticipant undenakes to enrol as a student (without voting rights) pursuant to § 2 para. 7 Einsehreibangeordnung of RWTH Aachen University to attend the program in preparation for the faster’ examination, A continuous enrolment at RTH Aachen University is mandatory until the fond ofthe study. {@) The participant must obey instructions from RWTH Business Schoo! staf and university personne! when participating in official course events, 0.9. lectures, seminars, excursions and during the ‘Sntrety of the paricpant’s presence in course venues. Furthermore, the participant must observe ‘and respect the house rules and safety regulations for the various venues. The participant Is obligated to inform him- or herself ofthe relevant rules and regulations. {@) To ensure the safe, effcient and orderly runring ofthe course, the participant isto refrain from any disruptive behaviour. In particular this is valid for lectures, presentations, group work, events ‘and excursions, including travel to any such events. (2) Repeated or extreme failure to observe points § 3 (2) and (3) may lead the participant to be [Excluded from individual events or the remaining time of the course. Such exclusion does not exclude the participant ftom the olher obligations of this contract, including payment. RWTH Business School reserves the right to inform the Master's degree program's academic director of all examination grades the participant received §-4 Course tuition foos (1) The total fees for the Master of Science in Management and Engineering in Technology, Innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship, taking ino account the Early Bird discount. amount {2 total of 27,000 € payable in thee instalments, which corresponds to 9,000 € per semester ‘The costs for travel, abcommodation and board must be borne by the participant. (@) The following terms of payment are agreed: Astinstalment 9,000€ by 15 April 2020 2nd instalment 9,000 € bby 31 January 2021 3¢d instalment 8,000€ bby 30 June 2021 (8) Any fees for bank transfers that might arse must be paid by the participant. Any such exclusion shall not ‘exonerate the participant from his or her obligation to pay the complete tuition fees for the course of study. Furthermore, default interest may be charged. (7) In addition, approximately 290 € per semester have to be paid separately to RWTH Aachen University as a social contribution fee. {§ 5 Duration and cancellation (1) The contract has a standard duration of three terms or, atthe latest, unt the participant has successfully completed the Master of Science in Management and Engineering in Technology, Innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship course, With signing of this contrac, the enlire course Of studies is bincingly booked and must also be paid as provided under § 4 (2) This contract shall only take effect if the Master of Science in Management and Engineering in “Technology. innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship course is held. 3/6BUSINESS | RWWTHAACHEN SCHOOL UNIVERSITY (@) RWTH Business School reserves the right to cancel the contract if the minimum number of parlcipants registared forthe course is not met. Irthe course is cancelled at least six weeks prior {o the intended start date RWTH Business School is not liable for any claims or damages. Course fees paid by the participant wil be refunded, RTH Business Schoo! is exempt from all other claims for damages or reimbursement. (2) RWVTH Business Schoo! reserves the right to suspend elective modules within the study program it the number of participants is too low. (6) The right ofthe partes to cancel this contract at any time for good cause remains unaffected. The onsts for an additonal semester amount to 2,000 € per semester. {@) Under certain conditions § 6 (5) and (6), participants can apply for an additional semester free of charge. (4) Participants must apply for an additional semester free of charge proactively. Applications for this free extension of a semester must be submitted inthe written form to RWTH Business Schoo! with 3 minimum period of two weeks before the beginning ofthe following semester. In these cases, 3 passing certicate of the relevant modules, the transcript of records plus the approval of master {hesis registration must be attached to the application (©) The participant is not obliged to pay tuition fees for an addtional semester ifthe participant has Successfully completed all modules ofthe study course and can thus provide all credit points other than the master esis atthe Deginning of thé additional semester. Moreover, the participant has ‘lready registered the master thesis in the last semester of the regular study duration. (6) The participants aiso not obiged to pay for an aditional someste ifthe assessmentof a student's ‘Gxamination performance in which the participant hes evidently taken part in is stil outstanding ‘fro waeks before the beginning ofthe addtional semester. As long as these are the last missing treat points and the master thesis has also boen registered inthe last semester of the regular ‘Study Guration, the tution fees for the additonal semester will not apply. a “The number of free addtional semesters, according to § 6 (5) and (8), is limited to one semester only, §7 Visa and Insurances 4) If epplicable, the participant is responsible for applying for, obtaining and maintaining a suitable vise RWTH Business School wil provide the participant with confirmation of his or her participation in the Master of Science in Management and Engineering in Technology. (2) Before undertaking the study course, the participant must arrange for health insurance, accident insurance and thie party abilty insurance in their name. RWTH Business School cannot be held ‘accountable for any accidents or incidents that fall under the purview of these insurances. Any ‘damages incurred in such cases are covered by the participant. 4/6BUSINESS | RAWTHAACHEN SCHOOL UNIVERSITY § 8 Intellectual Property, Copyright (1) All teaching materials (whether in paper form or any other conceivable form, such as video or ‘Qudio materah are protected by Copyright. The teaching materials and all otter documents, ‘graphics, images, sound recordings, and any other form of information provided by RWTH Business School or its representatives may only be copied, distributed or used in any other way by the parteipant with the explicit writen consent of RWTH Business School § 9 Withdrawal (1) Right of withdrawal for participants: ‘The particpant has the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any teasons. The withdrawal period is 14 days after the day of contract conclusion, In order to execute the participant's right of withdrawal, the participant has to inform RWTH Business School about hisier decision to withdraw the contract in a clear declaration (e.g. letter by mai or an e-mail. For that purpose, the participant may use the withdrawal form included Dolow. For the reimbursement, RWTH Business School wil use the same means of payment as used ‘during the participants original transaction, unless another means of payment is explicly agreed ‘on with the participant. Under no eeumstances RWTH Business Schoo! adds fees for this reimbursement.
