The CTERA HC400E is a modern edge filer that enables distributed enterprises to replace traditional file servers and NAS
at remote offices. CTERA Edge Filers provide secure, high-speed SMB/NFS access to a cloud-based global file system,
enabling organizations to improve multi-site productivity while significantly reducing TCO.

The HC400E is an ideal edge-to-cloud data management solution for small to midsize remote offices remote offices with
priorities on data privacy and governance, business continuity and agility, and cost savings. The HC400E’s optimized
performance supports a wide range of edge-to-cloud file services, including intelligent data tiering and archiving; home
folders; multi-site collaboration; and much more. CTERA Edge Filers cache hot and warm files locally for fast access, while
tiering unused data to cloud object storage.

The CTERA platform enables organizations to connect any number of edge filers to a single namespace, eliminating data
islands created by traditional NAS and file servers. CTERA’s multi-cloud approach allows IT administrators to use their
cloud of choice, be it their own private or public cloud infrastructure or a CTERA-hosted service. Customers also can easily
migrate data between clouds for maximum flexibility, compliance, and cost control.
