Handover :

1) Changeover for bilge ballast stripping valve :

Engine room bottom platform :
2 Valves ( One green color and one blue color )
Green one open for ballast stripping ( normally in open position only )
Blue one to be open when bilge stripping to be done.

When bilge stripping to be done :

Close green color valve ( ballast stripping valve )
Then open blue color valve ( bilge stripping valve )

After stripping done .

Close blue color valve . And open green color valve.

2) Sounding:

SWT 7P 7S ( Cross deck hold no. 10 and no.9 )

DB 1,2,3,4,5 ( Cross decks )

Fresh water corr :

Port Side – Add 0.10 to the sounding
Stbd side – Add 0.15 to the sounding

Temp . Check :
Dry wet entries to be made in white color book . Daily temp log book

Bilges sounding to be updated in red color book .

Other soundings to be updated in back pages of red color book.
