Explanation
Humanistic: Primary interest in and strong affection for individual animals,
principally pets.
Negativistic: Primary orientation an active avoidance of animals due to dislike or
fear.
Dominionistic: Primary satisfactions derived from mastery and control over
animals, typically in sporting situations.
Moralistic: Primary concern for the right and wrong treatment of animals, with
strong opposition to exploitation of and cruelty toward animals.
Ecologistic: Primary concern for the environment as a system, for
interrelationships between wildlife species and natural habitats.
He explains that the behavior of Japanese towards wildlife was humanistic and
negativistic which means that they had strong affection for the particular animals
like their pets but they also avoid animals due to fear As compared to Americans
Japanese are found to be more dominionistic which shows that they like those
animals which help in beneficial traits and want to control that animals especially
for sports .Furthermore he said that they have less moralistic and ecologistic
behavior which shows that they don’t take interest in the inherent rights and
spiritual importance of species and to the maintenance of ecosystem processes.
