You are expected to ready the whole Case Study of Pepsico and Tata Motors and
complete the tasks mentioned below.
1. Describe the challenges faced by Pepsico and Tata Motors in their respective
Supply chain Management.
2. Both the companies are leading manufacturers in their industry, comparing
their SCM practices with their peer companies and industry practices.
3. Suggest improved SCM for Tata Motors and Pepsico India. Can any of the
World class Model of SCM be replicated in India, Justify the solution.
4. Identify various practices of US and Japanese SCM and differentiate with
Indian SCM Practices.
5. What are the factors contributing to the success of SCM in India for Tata
nano?
6. Explain :
a. Vertical integration with example from the case and other than the case
b. Upward stream of SCM in TATA MOTORS
c. Downward stream of SCM in Pepsico
