Dato’ Mazliham Mohd Su’ud is President and Chief Executive Officer at the University of Kuala Lumpur. In February 2015, he was engaged in a co-operation project between the Malaysian and the French governments aimed at setting up Malaysia France Institute (MFI), an advanced technical training center in the field of engineering technology. In 2012, he was appointed as Deputy President (Industrial Linkages) at the University of Kuala Lumpur. In 2008, he was appointed as Deputy Director at the Centre for Professional and Continuing Education (previously known as Technopreneur Development and Innovation Division) and later he was promoted to Director in 2010. Upon returning to education field, he worked at SGS-Thomson Microelectronics, a semiconductor manufacturing company as an engineer based in his hometown. In 2004, he became the Dean of Malaysia France Institute (MFI). His greatest achievement is the development of a strategic initiative named as WE4ASIA, aimed at positioning UniKL among the top universities in Asia by 2020, spearheading the Higher Technical and Vocational Education & Training (HTVET). He received a state award by the Sultan of Pahang (“Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang”) which carries the title “Dato” in 2013. In May 2015, he was conferred the Chevalier in the l’Ordre National du Merite (The National Order of Merit) award by the President of the French Republic by His Excellency Mr. Christophe Penot, Ambassador of France to Malaysia. This award is one of the two highest awards by the French Government awarded to French citizens as well as foreign nationals for distinguished civil or military achievements. Dato’ Mazliham Mohd Su’ud has a PhD in Computer Engineering from Universite de La Rochelle, France and a Post Master Degree in Electronics from Universite de Montpellier II - Sciences et Techniques du Languedoc, Montpellier, France.
