Selection modalities for admission to Ph.D students in Spring Semester 2021-2022 The selection modalities for admission to Ph.D students in Spring Semester 2021-2022 will be as follows: Step 1: Short listing of submitted applications by the academic units based on: (a) academic score of the candidates as available on ERP only, or (b) based on both academic score and an online written test with suitable weightage. In case of option (b), the eligibility criteria for online written test shall preferably be same as the minimum eligibility criteria as mentioned in the information brochure. Further, the written test performance will be used only for shortlisting for final interview and not for final selection. Candidates should be informed well in advance about the shortlisting procedure. Step 2: Personal Interview (through online platform) The area of research as received for last semester from all the Departments/Centres/Schools/Units are already available in ERP. If any changes are to be incorporated in ERP regarding area of research, the same may be communicated latest by October 31, 2021. Distribution of marks & final selection process: Academic Score - 40 marks Personal Interview (Online) - 60 marks Merit list will be prepared based on the 100 marks. Time line for various activities: + Window for shortlisting of candidates 28.10.2021 to by the academic units based either 10.11.2021 on academic score only or academic score and online written test: * Last date for freezing shortlisted 10.11.2021 Candidate list on ERP: * Last date for dispatch of call letters with Instructions: 17.11.2021 * Last date for submission of data related to area of research (by shortlisted candidates): 15.11.2021 * Window for Personal Interview (Online): 17.11.2021 to 28.11.2021 *Last date for receipt of Recommendation statement by Academic (PGS&R) Section: 03.12.2021 *Declaration of result & dispatch of offer letters: 16.12.2021 Date of Admission: 15t week of January, 2022 [Tentative] The general scrutiny guideline and other routine instruction as per the Information Brochure is available in Annexure -1
