Your measurements may be slightly different to these due to printing.

There are only three different types of rectangles in the net.

Surface area = 2 × 6 cm2 + 2 × 15 cm2 + 2 × 10 cm2

= 12 cm2 + 30 cm2 + 20 cm2
= 62 cm2

TASK 3 Count squares

There are four faces with area 5 cm2 and two faces (the
front and back) with area 1 cm2.

Surface area = 4 × 5 cm2 + 2 × 1 cm2

= 22 cm2
