1. WHAT DID I UNDERSTAND?

I learned about the Philippines' history and literature

before, during, and after we were colonized by foreigners

or other countries in this class. Our naturally rich, unique,

and beautiful nation, as well as its people, are the reason

why the Philippines was colonized by other people. Our

own alphabet was also pulverized because they believed

our style was the work of the devil. They add chants or

bulong, folklore, folktales, ballads, and epics to the first

timeline, which is called "Pre-Spanish."

Other immigrants enhanced these works of

literature until they reached the Japanese

age, when their own writing style or

literature was adopted in our country:

Haiku, customary form, and Tanaga are

examples of their contributions.

1. WHAT DID I UNDERSTAND?

During the colonialism, numerous Filipino writers and

artists employed various types and styles of writing to

depict the situation they were in, so that future

generations would have a better understanding of what

transpired. Furthermore, the text in various sections of

our country, to determine the meaning of the text, such

as Marjorie Evasco's Dreamweavers, and poetry that we

must imagine to see what we may form.

In simply put, I was able to comprehend

the different dimensions, genres, elements,

structures, contexts, and traditions. Also,

studying and interpreting other texts from

various regions, as well as our Philippine

literary heritage/ history.

2. WHAT DID I REALIZE?

I realized there were many literary works with particular

backgrounds or histories, as well as texts that I had not

come across before. Nonetheless, I was able to learn

something and realize how our forefathers or patriots

were treated by other countries and people through this

module, by interpretating every single text. And how

remarkable that they confronted and resolved the

issues.

And I realized how much influence

colonizers had on us by allowing us to

adopt their works and ways of life. Many

poems or texts have been written by our

fellow Filipinos from pre-Spanish times to

the twenty-first (21st) century. They express

their own emotions through writing and

explain the significance of it. And us, the

future generation need to interpret it to be

able to understand.

3. WHAT DO I WANT TO LEARN MORE?

I'd like to understand more about literary works from

around the world, as well as the meanings behind them.

When it comes to this, I need to improve my critical

thinking and comprehension in order to keep up with our

studies. I also want to learn more about the history of

literary works in order to gain a better understanding of

other people's works and the impact of history on

ourselves. Nonetheless, I comprehended this lesson well,

and I am hopeful that the following lesson will be as well.

4. HOW WILL I IMPROVE MYSELF/ COMMUNITY/ SOCIETY/

COUNTRY/ WORLD BASED ON WHAT I HAVE LEARNED?

I will improve myself/ community/ society/ country/

world based on what I have learnt in this lesson by

improving my comprehension of what I have studied. I'm

sure there's a lot of untold knowledge in this module that

can be researched. Because knowledge is the most

powerful weapon we can carry with us everywhere we

go, as a person living in the same world, this is all I can

do to express myself as an individual human being.

Apart from obtaining a greater

understanding and knowledge, I've also

applied what I've learnt in real life. It is

possible for me to participate in an event

or pursue my personal interests. Share my

expertise with those people and see what

capable I am and learned thus far.

5. HOW CAN WE MAKE THIS AN IMPORTANT AND

RELEVANT PART OF OURSELVES AND THE SOCIETY TODAY?

Reading some poems that are based on true

occurrences, such as dreamweavers and other works,

can help us make this a more vital and relevant part of

ourselves and society today. We can see that change is

extremely likely to occur both then and now, implying

that we must pursue change and apply it to ourselves in

order to become more self-reliant and good human

beings.

We only need to remember that the

content on the note, book, poetry, or

whatever else has meaning. It tells the

story or happens that the writers put in

there. And as readers, we must study and

interpret it in order to understand what is

hidden beneath the words.

NOTE: (YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!)

Thank You!
