Some children respond favorably
to deep pressure receptors:
Children who are easily distracted, lacking
concentration skills, hyperactive, under stress
or with immature sensory processing
These children have different needs
(heaviness, tightness, etc.). Provide:
Pillows of different weights
Weighted animals
Blankets for swaddling
Weighted beanbags
Weighted lap animals
Superhero capes
Plain stuffed animals
Lap table for writing
Opportunities to play “I Love You Rituals”
