Making a research proposal is something most students find it hard but not until you

finished it. My thoughts on the process of making our research proposal have changed greatly
over the last couple of days, weeks, and months. During the end of the whole lesson in the first
semester, it was a great time for me to reflect on my learnings, understanding, and challenges
about writing our research proposal.
It was indeed a rollercoaster ride not only for me but also for my group mates. At first, I
find it hard and complicated to understand even though I already experienced writing one for the
past years during junior high days and in Grade 11. There was a lot of challenges I personally
encountered in making our research proposal. The fact that our schedule was so hectic because of
other workloads and activities in the other subject, and also it was sometimes hard for us to meet
as a group because all of us is not always available or active during the conversation or meeting.
But fortunately, we did able to brainstorm and work together to make all the outputs needed in
making a proposal. From the very beginning of the research proposal until the end, I am happy
that we were able to finish it. It is indeed a tiring work and experienced for us and sometimes I
just felt unmotivated and ended up being stuck in my comfort zone rather than understanding
well the process of making the research proposal. But with every lessons in the research subject
is an experience I will gain to discover new skills, learn more about the type of environment I
enjoy being in, further explore my strengths and interests, and test out my motivation to further
study not only research proposal but probably the whole research paper.
In this cases, my experience in making our research proposal probably teaches me to be
hands-on and focus on what I am doing and to my goals and what I needed to learn in this
subject after the end of the school year. I am glad that during the past months discussing and
presenting our outputs, I now understand the process and what is needed to do for us to make a
research proposal. This is an equally valuable learning experience that we all need to recognize
and use when evaluating what we want to do next.
