The Five-Year Career Plan is designed to help you develop skills in your current job or
to prepare for your next job. Your five-year plan is very much an individual and
personal plan, and is designed to facilitate your growth, development and advancement.
Always use the SMART model when setting goals: Specific, Measurable, Attainable,
Realistic and within a specific Timeframe.

Intermediate Steps Over the Next Five Years to Reach My Goal

Try to set two or three short term goals (i.e. those in the next 2 years) and
the remainder for the medium term (following 3 years)
My one year plan is to get a grade 4 for both English language and
Year One maths. Achieve a distinction in my English spoken language. Hopefully
get a distinction in my level two IT course, and pass my level 2 initial
assessments with hard work and commitment. With passing English and
maths and the course I will get on a level 3 It course which is for 2 years.I
will be 19 years of age.

My two year plan is to pass my level 3 IT course and after that I have
Year Two passed my level 3 IT course then I will be looking forward to university
and to be on the journey of my dreams and aspirations. I will be 20 years
of age.
My three year plan is to study for three years in university and get my
Year Three degree in computer science. By then I will be qualified. I will look for my
dream computer science IT job. I will be 21 years of age.
My 4 year plan is to work for a company in a computer science based
Year Four environment. Once I'm working at my dream job my dreams and
accomplishments have been achieved then I’m happy. I will be 22 years
of age.
My 5 years plan is to have 1 year experience of working in computer
Year Five computer and hopefully be a manager in computer science in a company.

I can research what the requirements are to get into computer science. I would research
what is involved in a computer science course, what companies are involved in company
science also where are the locations do computer science.
 How can others help me accomplish these objectives?
The people who will help me to achieve my goals are to talk about computer science in
IT to my tutors, careers advisor and my parents to make me achieve my goal.
