The Five-Year Career Plan is designed to help you develop skills in your current job or
to prepare for your next job. Your five-year plan is very much an individual and
personal plan, and is designed to facilitate your growth, development and advancement.
Always use the SMART model when setting goals: Specific, Measurable, Attainable,
Realistic and within a specific Timeframe.
My Current Position:
Level 2 IT____________________________________________
My two year plan is to pass my level 3 IT course and after that I have
Year Two passed my level 3 IT course then I will be looking forward to university
and to be on the journey of my dreams and aspirations. I will be 20 years
of age.
My three year plan is to study for three years in university and get my
Year Three degree in computer science. By then I will be qualified. I will look for my
dream computer science IT job. I will be 21 years of age.
My 4 year plan is to work for a company in a computer science based
Year Four environment. Once I'm working at my dream job my dreams and
accomplishments have been achieved then I’m happy. I will be 22 years
of age.
My 5 years plan is to have 1 year experience of working in computer
Year Five computer and hopefully be a manager in computer science in a company.
