How to Download and Install Ventil from the Nicotra website:

1. Download the compressed installation package “ VENTIL3.0.1.zip ” from the Nicotra website and copy it in a safe location on your Hard
Disk.
2. Check carefully to see if you already have an older version of Ventil on your computer. In this case, please read carefully the following
Note before proceeding.
3. Stop any other application program which may be running, to avoid any possible conflict with the installation program.
4. Open the compressed file with an appropriate decompression tool, like WinZip32, PowerArchiver or any other equivalent program.
(some decompression tools, like PowerArchiver, will autonomously recognise the existence of a setup program inside the ZIP file, and
offer you to Install the program without the need to carry out steps 5 and 6).
5. Expand all the files contained inside the ZIP file into a temporary folder on your local Hard Disk.
6. Open the temporary folder, look for and run the program called “ Setup.exe ” (your system could be set-up so to hide file extensions of a
known type, so this file could be shown just as “ Setup ”).
7. Carefully follow the instructions, given by the installation program, till the end.
8. Click on the Start button again, then on Programs, and then on the small blue Ventil Icon.
9. The first time you run it, Ventil will install data archives. This operation may last a few minutes. Then it will show you the User License
text, and will ask you to select a language and to compile the user data card.

After a successful installation you can delete the temporary folder and its content and, if you don’t need to install Ventil 3.0.1 again, also the
Ventil3.0.1.zip compressed file.

Note:
If you had an older version of Ventil on your computer, be sure that any former installation of Ventil has been completely removed before
installing a newer one.. If you still have an earlier version of Ventil installed, open the Start menu, click on Settings and then on Control
Panel; start the Add/Remove Programs utility, select Ventil in the available applications list and click on the Add/Remove Programs
button. Follow the program instructions until finished. If you find more than one entry for Ventil in the list, remove each one separately. After
the automatic program removal, check that there is not any file left inside the Ventil program installation directory (by default “C:\Program
Files\Ventil”), if it still exists. If there is anything left, delete it manually.
