Eligibility Criteria: Degree of Bachelor Law

Age Limitation: Minimum Age 22 years and less than 35 years
The syllabus for the Bihar Judicial Service is mainly divided into two parts.

3. Law of Evidence & Procedure
4. Constitutional and Administrative Law of India
5. Hindu Law & Muhammadan Law
6. Law of Transfer of Property and Principles of Equity
7. Law of Trusts and Specific Relief
8. Law of Contracts and Torts
9. Commercial Law

Mains Syllabus

Compulsory Paper

1. General Knowledge including Current Affairs 150 Marks

2. Elementary General Science 100 Marks
3. General Hindi 100 Marks
4. General English 100 Marks
5. Law of Evidence & Procedure 150 Marks

Optional Paper

1. Constitutional and Administrative Law of India 150 Marks

2. Hindu Law and Mohammedan Law 150 Marks
3. Transfer of Property Act, Principles of
Equity, Law of Trusts and Specific Relief 150 Marks
4. Law of Contracts and Torts 150 Marks
5. Commercial Law 150 Marks

Note: Out of 5 (five) topics mentioned above, a candidate can opt three topics and
he is required to appear in only three (3) topics.
