Mathematics Teaching Plan

Overview:
This document is to help you understand the teaching method that will be followed throughout
this course. It includes the schedule of our online classes and the topics needed to be
completed in each class. We are assuming that the exam will be on the 1st of October since the
date of the exam has not been released yet. This means we have exactly six months to prepare
for it from now.

Class Schedule:
Online classes will be held thrice every week on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Just to
remind you, we will have a class tomorrow i.e. Wednesday 1st of April. After this class the
schedule will be followed and the timings for each class will be from 3pm to 5pm.

Course Teaching:
• Chapters 30-37 of the revision guide must be completed before the start of studying
from the textbook. These 8 chapters will be completed in four online classes,
completing 2 chapters in each class. Hence the revision guide will be completed on the
7th of April.
• Next will be the textbook. For this we have 55 days to complete the textbook starting
from 9th of April to the 13th of August. We should be completing 1 chapter in every
class and the remaining classes will be kept for short quizzes, tests and revision.
• Following that will be the completion of the Revision Guide again. From the 13th of
August to the 1st of September. This time it must be completed by the student
independently with limited assistance from the teacher. This will improve the skill of
solving problems and finding ways to tackle issues; an important skill needed for the
exam! I will be still available for any questions though.
• Finally we move on to the solving past papers in the final month before the exam.
Initially we will solve 2-4 past papers together but the student will gradually have to
solve these papers independently.
