INDIA OF MY DREAMS

Change, it's constant and crucial. There are quite a few things I would like to change, but most
importantly, I want India to have gender equality in all spheres of life, professional and personal. We
cannot bring about grass root level change if half of our population is not invited to the table. It
would be a shame if half of our population’s potential is limited to the kitchen. I would want every
child to have access to quality education. Lack of education results in opinions and thought
processes based on factually incorrect information and the longer they persist, the harder it is to
change them. Sanitation facilities, clean water, nutritious food, and basic healthcare should be
accessible to all. Going to a hospital should not be a struggle. As Indians, we need to realize that at
their core, all religions preach love, kindness and respect. Discriminating against people on the basis
of their faith is against those very fundamentals. I also want to create a safe and inclusive country for
the LGBTQ+ community, one where they can be safe and not at risk for something so intimate and
individual as love. Love is divine and beautiful in all its forms and facets. The India of my dreams is
one where we realise our aspirations and ambitions and align them with the overall development of
our country.
