UMPT DIP Switch

 Two DIP switches on the UMPT have the SW1 and SW2 silkscreen

 Each DIP switch has four bits

 The DIP switches have the following functions


 SW1 is used to select the E1/T1 mode

 SW2 is used to select the grounding mode of E1/T1 transmission.

Local O&M Connection Based on UMPT
 The USB port with the USB silkscreen is used for the software
upgrade of a base station using a Universal Serial Bus (USB) flash
drive. This port also functions as a commissioning Ethernet port

 An adapter is used for local maintenance connects the USB port on


the UMPT to an Ethernet cable during local maintenance

Clock Synchronization Modes
 An eNodeB supports the following types of external clock sources:
 Global Positioning System (GPS) clock

 IEEE 1588 V2 clock

 1PPS+TOD clock
 PPS is short for pulse per second, and TOD is short for time of day.

 If an eNodeB fails to obtain clock signals, it works in free-run mode for a certain
period of time
