Practical Test Standard VI - Dr. Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Spardha (2014-15) From the academic year 2014-15, there will be a slight change in practical pattern for standard VI. The objective of the practical test is to check the observation skills, analytical abilities, and ability to follow the given procedure. Students will have to draw conclusions on the basis of given information. New pattern will be as follows: # Total number of experiments: 5 © Duration for each experiment: 6 minutes. © Marks for each experiment: 6 Sample Experiments Experiment 1 AIM: TO TEST PRESENCE OF STARCH IN THE GIVEN SAMPLE. Procedure: 1, Take 1 spoon of sample A in the bowl. 2. Add 2/3 drops of solution X to it. 8. Observe the colour change. 4. Complete the following observation table. 5. If colour changes to dark blue or black; then starch is present. 6. Repeat the procedure for sample B. 7. Wash each bow! separately and keep them neatly. ‘Sample Colour Change ‘Starch is present or absent x B (3 Marks) Answer the following: Q. 1.
