society, learning about the cultures and beliefs as well as how to act appropriately by how society
accepts it. We leave our state of nature through this process. Another fact is that we are born into
process since we are almost completely going through it most of our time being alive and in the
may be like when we are watching youtube videos on how to cook something, we are learning.
We can take into consideration how there are biological roles that take place in socialization, like
how we inherit eye colour, and there are preferences in society and cultures like some that brown
eyes are the lowest ranked in population by eye colour hence them believing that it is the least
attractive eye colour. The five agents that were recognized by sociologists were family, school,
peer groups, media, and the workplace. Although some might be self-explanatory like family and
school, some aren’t like peer groups. For family, we can learn about communication, trust,
distrust, love, hate, and family roles. For schools we can learn about rules, learn about authority,
and also to read. For peer groups we can gain the knowledge of teamwork, dating, and
friendship. From the media we can learn about news, fads and fashion and also sports. Finally
from the workplace we can gain new knowledge about expected behaviors viewed in a more
professional way, sort of like a refresh of everything but in a continuum. As for me I believe I
was mostly influenced by my family. Which would be that I can learn about love, hate, family
roles, and so much more. I think that I was the most influenced by that agent because it was kind
of where it all started and how my parents raised me. It's the way I've been since, with of course
mild changes. For example my parents would tell me that I had to be clean and have good
hygiene which fits into gender roles, that I learned about at a young age because of the family
agent.
