1. STATE ANY FIVE MANDATORY FIELDS IN THE GENERAL SEGMENT

OF SIMBA 2005

a) Declaration details- mandatory fields here are Regime e.g., T8 for exports, clearance

station in my case KPE, Place of discharge will be KPE and Frontier Station -Malaba

MLB.

b) Consignee details- here the clearing agent should capture the name of the buyer of the

product(consignee) e.g., Total Republic Du Congo A/C MONUSCO, and City DRC

c) Striking details- this field shows where that particular consignment will be drawn

from. For example, when lodging a truck loading JET A1 the T812 will be drawn

from a Precedent Entry which is the Type of striking.

d) Shipping details- Consignor’s name i.e., the supplier e.g., Aramco Trading co, City,

Mode of Transport e.g., road, means of transport e.g., Truck, Country of final

destination e.g., DRC, and date of transport

e) Value details- here the declarant captures FOB, Freight and Insurance.

2. STATE ANY FIVE MANDATORY FIELDS IN THE ITEM SEGMENT OF

SIMBA 2005

a) HS code of the product. For exports of fuel the HS code is retrieved from

b) Shipping marks/container – for fuels here the declarant enters the truck number.

c) CIF Value to declare

d) Net weight (for fuels volume loaded at 20 degrees multiplied by the density),

e) Unit of Measure- for exports of fuel this is retrieved from Precedent Entry.
